The Lossen

The Lossen

I was introduced to Colin by a mutual friend who described him as a gifted storyteller and film maker who was fascinated by the spiritual realms. Colin was keen to experience a Life-Between-Lives regression and he confessed that he was curious about journeying into the world of spirit because he’d long had a suspicion that his guide or guides were involved with sending him ideas for film scripts. He also told me that he sometimes experienced automatic writing. He had reached a point in his career where he had moved away from television work and was making short films while planning a major writing project.

Colin’s LBL also presented me with the chance to probe more deeply into how guides transmit information to their ‘students’ here on earth. I already had experience of channeling but was curious to find out more. Colin’s questions and his aims for the regression were focused on his ambitions to write and produce films that “awakened the human heart”.

The session progressed smoothly and Colin’s natural aptitude for visualization produced a vivid and exciting session. In the womb, he stated that he had chosen a sensitive body in order to communicate human emotions. Without further ado and with minimal input from myself, Colin landed in a past life in his study, the consulting room of a medical man, aged 56. Around him were the tools of his trade, his books, his instruments. While he had worked in orthodox medicine and treated patients, he also studied herbal and complementary medicine. He was happily married to Jane and they had two children. Colin’s last day of his life was at 72 years of age, dying of pneumonia but with peace in his heart, knowing he had helped and healed many people.

At the Gateway he is met by his father and grandfather who congratulate him for his achievements. His guide appears, white light, oval in shape “like an egg”. His guide’s name is Gregory and he wears a medallion with a dragon shaped symbol which Colin says represents creativity and persistence.

Therapist (T): Where are you?

Client (C): I am in a garden filled with jasmine and orange blossom. We are sitting on a white marble bench and I feel so filled up with love. Gregory tells me I have achieved everything I set out to do – ‘almost perfection.’

T: And you are pleased?

C: It’s not as it seems. That life was ‘perfect’ in preparation for something else, something much harder. I had to learn to have the courage of my convictions using medicine and alternatives like herbs. I was challenged but I had my healthy patients as proof of my work. Part of the healing was to use unconditional love with my patients. That is at the heart of true compassion in medicine. When there is love and compassion, then true healing can occur.

T: How does that life relate to what you are doing now?

C: Gregory comes towards me with his arms open. I feel lifted up in his presence, he is so full of compassion and patience. He reminds me that the same healing is now needed for the human heart, healing that must be accomplished through opening the heart. Ah! I understand. Something that is in the film will make people stop and feel true emotion –  that’s when their hearts can be opened.

T: And may you know how you are to make this happen?

C: He just smiles. I am now to go before my Council.

T: Go ahead and tell me what happens, describe what you notice.

C: I am now in a great hall and the Council is before me, there are seven of them. In the centre is a woman, she is so beautiful with blue eyes. There is a chain round her neck with an ‘S’ on it – meaning ‘strength’.

T: What messages do they have for you?

C: Oh, that I need to be more open and brave in sharing what I know, that I can show compassion without fear. I have had many lives where sharing my knowledge has led to persecution and so I have resisted that.

T: When has that happened in your current life?

C: Television and the film industry is a difficult world to be in and they remind me of times when I felt I had to keep people at a distance to stop their energy from hurting me. I need to show the same qualities as in that life as a doctor. Everyone we meet on earth needs love and compassion. I feel like I should have remembered how to do this. Oh, now they are showing me a life on another world.

T: Can you describe it?

C: It’s a world of matter, like earth. But the energy there is finer, there is an overwhelming peace that keeps you balanced. I can see trees and sky and people, well the shapes of people. But in their eyes and their faces there is joy. Smiles are so wide! And it’s so easy to be joyful as everyone has peace at their heart. I get a sense that this is a world where everyone is encouraged to follow their dreams. And my dream in that life was to gain knowledge. I needed the peaceful atmosphere to cram in as much learning as I could to prepare for my life now.

T: It sounds like a wonderful world. Perhaps a template for earth in the future?

C: The Council are shaking their heads and laughing. I get a sense that they prefer the challenge of life on earth. In my head I’m hearing, ‘we also learn much from reports of life on earth’. She shows me a TV screen. So it’s like watching a good drama or maybe a soap. Or maybe not. They are still smiling.

T:That’s quite a funny idea, though.

C: Now they are serious. There is concern I’ll get sidetracked by the money or the worry about selling the film. They say I have a wonderful vibration for money. But I’ll have to work for it.

T: Are they willing to tell you exactly how to move forward with your films?

C: They say I have spent lifetimes preparing for this, I must not let it be for nothing. I will meet some very forceful people. Power and money and greed. I know, I have already met many like that. But I must keep compassion at my centre and know that all people will need to have their hearts opened. I must not judge. I must think of this life just as my doctor life.

T: And is there a timescale?

C: The journey will speed up now. I must also let go of my worries about sending my work out into the world.

At this point Colin stops speaking and appears to be involved in a silent conversation. Then his eyes snap open and he waves his hands around, but he is still clearly in trace and involved in his inner drama.

C: There are ten of them. The ones I work with. They are here now and I know we are part of a special group who are all working on this project. I am the one on earth. I have to put all our hard work into practice. I feel so humble but now I know this is a collaboration. I am not alone.

The session continued as Colin visited with this group who were supporting him with his film work. The automatic writing was one way in which they sent him messages to ‘get on with it.’ While there was no detailed guidance about how to go forward, Colin was clear that he was working as a team and that made all the difference to how he would feel when things got tough, as he expected them to.

Fast forward several years and Colin has spent some time in Hollywood, renewing old contacts and making new ones, promoting his main project and ‘ being reminded how impossible it is to get an independent project off the ground’.

Then Colin ‘received’ (from his ten spiritual collaborators) another idea for a short film. He wrote the script immediately and with little editing. It would be a short, powerful, but witty and entertaining film about the importance of fulfilling your dreams. The film is now complete and will soon be released. It’s called ‘The Lossen’ and I can vouch for the fact that Colin has done exactly what he set out to do. It’s a film that will open people’s hearts. As I write this article, The Lossen has been chosen for the Rhode Island International Film Festival where it will premiere. ♦

In breaking news, the film has received the Best Fantasy Short Film Grand Prize. Visit the official website at https://www.thelossen.com/
