Embracing the Wild Edges of Life

Introduction

In permaculture gardening, wild edges are the untamed borders where the cultivated garden meets the natural landscape. These zones, brimming with biodiversity, are often the most vibrant and fertile parts of the garden. They serve as habitats for beneficial insects, birds, and other wildlife, fostering a symbiotic environment that enhances the health and resilience of the entire ecosystem. Though seemingly chaotic, these wild edges are essential for the garden’s overall balance and productivity.
In the same way, personal transitions embody the transformative boundaries where our structured lives meet the unpredictable forces of change. These wild edges in life, though often perceived as chaotic and challenging, are fertile grounds for profound personal and spiritual growth, mirroring the vibrant biodiversity that enhances the health and resilience of a garden.

In the context of a Life Between Lives (LBL) session, these transitions are pivotal. LBL sessions allow us to explore the wild edges of our soul’s journey—those critical moments of change across lifetimes. By delving into these transitions, we uncover the karmic patterns and lessons that shape our current existence. Understanding these past transitions helps us navigate our present challenges with greater clarity and purpose.

Thus, embracing the wild edges in both gardening and our soul’s journey fosters resilience and growth. By acknowledging and integrating the lessons from these wild, transformative spaces, we can cultivate a more balanced, empowered, and fulfilling life.

In my practice, most clients are navigating some form of transition; it is this very tumult that often brings them to seek deeper understanding and healing through this work. More often than not, the roots of these major life transitions trace back to past lives or karmic agreements that influence our current existence.

During previous lifetimes, we might have played roles that caused pain and grief to others, leaving unresolved energy that resurfaces in our present lives. This often manifests as the opposite role, such as becoming a victim or perpetuating a chronic pattern of victimhood. Our current experiences are Karmic Echoes©, reverberating previous energetic roles, urging us to take responsibility—to respond with awareness and empowerment rather than blame.

Responsibility, in this context, is not about blame but about the ability to respond. It empowers us to shift and change the “distasteful” energy between us and others. Embracing responsibility gives us the power to transform our lives, another form of transition.

Yet, if transitions are so integral to our existence, why do we fear them so deeply? Change is often met with fear, as evident in those who remain in abusive situations because the unknown is scarier than the known suffering. The human ego finds comfort in familiarity, even if it is painful.

When I was asked to write about transitions, I found it challenging to pinpoint a single focus because transitions encompass all aspects of life. Therefore, I will share excerpts from different client sessions on transitions, rather than focusing on one. Each story offers unique insights into the transformative power of embracing the wild edges of our lives.

Case Study 1: A Journey from Isolation to Connection

Client Background

Miriam, a successful businesswoman in her early 40s, came to me seeking clarity and healing. Despite her professional success, her personal life was marked by isolation and failed relationships. She was eager to understand the root causes of her loneliness and repetitive patterns of emotional withdrawal.

Session Details

During her regression session, Miriam found herself in a past life as a medieval healer ostracized by her community. She vividly recalled the fear and resentment she faced, culminating in a tragic end where she was blamed for a plague that swept through her village. This life’s isolation was so powerful it created Karmic Echoes—patterns, behaviors, and unresolved emotions from past lives that reverberate into our current life. These echoes influenced her thoughts, feelings, and actions, often without conscious awareness.

As the session progressed, we delved deeper into Miriam’s experiences between lives, also known as a Life Between Lives (LBL) session. During this session, Miriam discovered her soul group, a collective of souls with whom she had shared many lifetimes. These souls often play significant roles in our various incarnations, helping us learn and grow through shared experiences.

The pivotal moment came when Miriam realized her fear of being alone was a self-imposed barrier. She had chosen isolation as a coping mechanism, a Karmic Echo from her medieval life. This understanding allowed her to see that she was never truly alone; her soul group had always been there, providing support and guidance.
Armed with this insight, Miriam made a conscious decision to break the cycle of isolation. She began to dismantle her emotional walls, embracing the support of her soul group and opening herself up to genuine connections in her current life. This transformation led to deeper, more meaningful relationships and a sense of connection she had never experienced before.

Conclusion

Miriam’s journey from isolation to connection demonstrates the profound impact of addressing Karmic Echoes through a Life Between Lives session. By uncovering the roots of her loneliness and recognizing the support of her soul group, she was able to choose a new path of openness and connection. This case study highlights the potential for healing and growth that lies within each of us when we confront and understand our past.

Case Study 2: Healing Through Acceptance

Client Background

It was an unusually foul weather day on Maui when Barth, in his late 30s, came to me during a significant health crisis. Diagnosed with a chronic illness, he struggled with feelings of anger and helplessness. Seeking to understand the spiritual purpose behind his illness, he hoped to find peace amidst his suffering.

Session Details

In his Life Between Lives (LBL) session, Barth revisited a past life as a warrior who inflicted pain and suffering on others. This life was marked by aggression and a relentless pursuit of power. As he relived these memories, he realized his current illness was a karmic balancing act, urging him to cultivate compassion and humility.
Guiding Barth through this transformative journey was his Soul Guide, Kaulana. A Soul Guide is a wise and compassionate entity who accompanies a soul through many lifetimes, offering insight and support. Kaulana helped Barth understand that his illness was not a punishment but an opportunity for profound spiritual growth. This perspective shift allowed Barth to see his condition as a catalyst for developing empathy and self-awareness.

The breakthrough came when Barth accepted his illness, recognizing it as a chance to embrace vulnerability and seek support from loved ones. This acceptance transformed his relationships and his approach to life, turning his health crisis into a spiritual journey guided by Kaulana’s wisdom.

Conclusion

Barth’s journey of healing through acceptance illustrates the profound impact of Life Between Lives sessions and the guidance of a Soul Guide. By uncovering the spiritual purpose behind his challenges, Barth was able to transform his illness into an opportunity for growth and connection. This case study highlights the potential for healing and transformation when we embrace our vulnerabilities and seek spiritual insight.

Case Study 3: From Victimhood to Empowerment

Client Background

Saroja, a young woman in her 20s, sought therapy to address a chronic pattern of victimhood. She felt perpetually at the mercy of others’ actions, struggling with low self-esteem and self- worth, particularly in her intimate relationships. These feelings of powerlessness and dependency had led her to seek a deeper understanding and a way to break free from this cycle.

Session Details

In her Life Between Lives (LBL) session, Saroja discovered a past life where she had been a powerful figure who abused her position, causing harm to those around her. This life’s energy had carried over, manifesting in her current life as a victim of similar abuses. The session revealed that her soul was seeking to balance this karmic debt by experiencing the opposite role.

Guided by her Soul Guide, Saroja explored the dynamics of her past actions and their reverberations into her present life. Her Soul Guide explained that these experiences were opportunities for profound spiritual growth, emphasizing that taking responsibility for her life meant empowering herself to change her narrative, not blaming herself for others’ actions.

The Transformation

Acknowledging this karmic dynamic, Saroja began to reclaim her power. She understood that her feelings of low self-esteem and worth were echoes of her past life’s misuse of power. By accepting this, she could start to deconstruct the victimhood mindset and rebuild her self-worth. This shift marked the beginning of her journey towards self-empowerment and healing.

Saroja’s transition from victimhood to empowerment became a bridge connecting the themes of isolation and healing explored in the previous case studies. Like Miriam and Barth, Saroja’s journey demonstrated the transformative power of LBL sessions. These sessions are the embodiment of transition, guiding individuals to confront their past, understand their present, and shape their future.

Conclusion

Saroja’s journey from victimhood to empowerment illustrates the transformative potential of Life Between Lives. By uncovering the karmic roots of her patterns, she was able to take control of her narrative and embark on a path of healing and self-empowerment. This case study underscores the profound personal growth that occurs when we confront and transform our deepest fears and insecurities.

Final Thoughts
These stories illustrate that transitions, though often feared, are gateways to profound personal growth. They challenge us to confront our past, embrace our present, and shape our future with conscious intent. By understanding and taking responsibility for the energies we carry, we can transform our lives and navigate the wild edges with grace and empowerment.

In the end, every transition is an invitation to evolve, to shed old patterns, and to step into a more authentic and empowered version of ourselves. The journey through transitions is not just about change but about embracing the full spectrum of our existence, acknowledging our past, and courageously stepping into the unknown to create a Now aligned with our highest potential.

Embrace the transitions, and boldly revel in the splendor of the wild edges—your future awaits! ♥
