This is the story about Larry, an older man’s desire to learn what he might do in the remainder of his life. He has a PhD as a licensed clinical counselor and has been an educator at a large state university. He had successfully had previous regressions, including one spontaneous regression. Having retired from his teaching position, and having largely closed off his clinical counseling practice, he said that he felt, “… like a rudderless ship blown around with every change in the wind. Every time I start thinking that I know what I should be doing now at this stage of my life and start moving in that direction, a door slams in my face or all my motivation drains away. I’m just sort of floundering, and my life has never been like this before (at least not in this lifetime).” This was causing Larry much suffering, and he wanted to understand why.
Since he is out of state, and we both felt comfortable with Zoom, we agreed that we would have a distance session.
Larry indicated that he had been adopted as a baby, and he had a wonderful life until his adoptive father died when he was five. He had been very close with his adoptive father, who spent a lot of time with him. Afterward, his adoptive mother, whom he loved, married two more times. He said that his first stepfather was abusive, and he and his siblings were glad when their mother divorced him. He said the next one, while not abusive, unfortunately, was indifferent. When he had grown, he was able to find his biological mother, and they developed and maintained a positive relationship until her death. He went on to a successful career in counseling and teaching at a university.
Following the induction for an LBL which leads to a regression, it was suggested that he step into another life in another time. He was quiet for a moment.
I asked, “What are you seeing or feeling?”
Larry responded, “Things are gray, and I seem to be a little confused. Anxious.”
“If you look at your feet what do you see?”
After a moment Larry answers. “I’m wearing combat boots.”
“What do your clothes look like?”
“I’m wearing a green uniform. A military uniform, I think.” Then, after pausing, “I’m with a group of guys, and we’re all in uniform. British, I think. Some have helmets and some have aviator’s headgear. There are biplanes and triplanes around. It appears that I’m an aviator in World War I.”
LS proceeded to say that he was a machine gunner in the back seat of a biplane, and they were getting ready to go out on a mission. He indicated that there was higher anxiety than usual, because they were expected to encounter German planes, and one of the pilots was a renowned ace. When they met the German planes, he said that there was a chaotic dogfight, and that his pilot was flying upside down in an evasive maneuver when everything seemed to go black. They had been hit, and the blackness was from his burning plane. He said that they had parachutes, but that he had been shot badly and couldn’t bail out. He thought that his pilot might have been able to. He said simply that he was going to crash and die.
I ask him to go to the time of his last breath.
“I’m already out of body. I’m watching the plane crash and burn with my body in it. I’m floating above it. I felt no pain. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.”
“What do you do now?”
“I’m hovering, watching the dogfight.” Then, after a moment, “I’m worrying about my mother. She will be so upset. I want to go see her.” Larry pauses. “I’m there in my mother’s house now. She doesn’t know that I’m here, but I sense that she has a feeling of foreboding. I see that she got her Bible out this morning, and it is lying on the table. When she stepped outside for a moment, I turned the pages of the Bible to the passage [John 14:3], where it begins, 'And if I go and prepare a place for you…' She thinks the wind turned the pages, but later, the memory of this gave her comfort.”
I ask, “What do you want to do now?”
“There isn’t any reason to stay around. There won’t be a funeral. My body was burned too badly.”
“Okay, so what is happening now?”
“I hear music, I’m floating to the corner of the room where there appears to be a tunnel, and I float in. It was a little tight getting in, but then it expands.” Larry's happiness is evident, “There is my daddy. The one who died when I was five. He has been my father in a few other lives. He is going to go the rest of the way with me.”
“Okay, keep me updated.”
“We’re stepping into the light. There are others here.” With happiness Larry continues, “I now see that my adopted mother and father have been together a number of lifetimes, and I’ve been their child a number of times.”
“Who else do you see?”
“I see someone who I think is my guide. He looks like a Frenchman. Dark hair and a mustache. I call him 'High Self'.” After looking around, “There was someone I wanted to see, but she isn’t here.” Larry takes a long pause. “Oh, she’s in another place in the universe. We may not be connected for a while,” Larry says a bit morosely. “But later we will.”
Where do you go now?
“My guide is leading me to something like a hot tub with reclining seats. He is turning on lights – all colors of the rainbow and beyond. I feel as if I’m a balloon with air being blown into me.”
“Well, enjoy yourself. Let me know when you are finished with having your energy replenished.”
After a bit, Larry responds, “Okay, I’m finished now.”
“Where does your guide want you to go now?”
“He’s taking me to a place where I’ll be with my soul group and teachers. It is similar to a neighborhood with different sized houses. Ours is a large two-story house, and there are study rooms where teachers come.”
“Does your group have a particular characteristic or purpose?” I ask.
“We specialize in advancing spiritual knowledge and related information. There are other groups that we work with who have different specialties. This is interesting because in my current life, I worked for a while in a Baptist ministry.”
“To make it more comfortable for us, do you know your name and your guide’s name?”
“It is coming that my guide’s name is Akor, and my name seems to be Sanji.”
I suggest that Larry ask Akor if this is a good time to ask some more questions. He says that Akor says that it is, so I suggest he ask about his feeling rudderless at this point in his life, and what advice might Akor give.
Larry responds, “Akor is pretending to be somewhat offended by the idea that I have been rudderless. He says that he hadn’t abandoned me. Rather, he is the one who guided me to read the Newton books, and then he continued with this effort until I had contacted a facilitator. I agree that it was a good idea to find out about The Newton Institute and set up an LBL.”
“Is this a good time for more questions?”
“Akor says yes.”
“Okay. Ask him this question: What would he suggest for you to do with your life at this time. I know that we talked some about whether you would want to be a facilitator for The Newton Institute, so you can ask about this as well.”
“Akor is saying that I could be a facilitator, or I could pick my counseling back up, but less clinical and more life supporting. Or, I could do some of both. He is saying that this is my choice, but any of the above choices can be fulfilling.”
There was some conversation of a more personal nature involving two persons who had come into his life during the last two years, and Larry received guidance about them.
I then ask Larry, “Is there anywhere else that Akor thinks would be useful for you to get information that you can use in your current life?”
“Akor says that he always recommends visiting my Council of Elders. He is taking us there now.”
“What are you seeing?”
“I seem to see three entities, but they are a little blurry. At first I saw one of them with the face of one of my male relatives who I always thought was very wise. This threw me off a bit, and I shut it down.”
“Why don’t you ask them why the entity appeared with this face.”
“The one who had the face is talking to me now. He said that it is to show that I will be receiving wisdom.”
“That sounds good. What are you being told?”
“He says that I need to integrate the energies of my head and heart. I need to listen to my heart more. I already listen to my head. My heart has different frequencies and different knowledge that will be beneficial to me. He then reinforces the need to keep on doing things for my physical health.”
“You might ask him what other information he could give you as guidance in your current life.”
“He is saying that I have made substantial progress in being less overbearing, and more respectful of others’ choices.” After a moment’s reflection, Larry continues, “I probably had the tendency to be a bit overbearing when I was younger in my current life. He is also saying that I need to moderate my somewhat unreasonable tendency to not want to burden anyone in any way. He says that I need to gain balance in this aspect of life. There is no harm in taking some help from those who want to give it.”
“Anything else?”
“I am being told that this is not a full life review from my Council. This is the reason that their faces were blurred to me. They were fine with giving me a brief update, but a fuller review will take place at another time.”
“Is there anywhere else you feel that you want to go?”
“Actually, I think that I’ve gotten the information that I wanted. I’m ready to come out of the session.”
After thanking Akor, I made the usual suggestions to return LS to full consciousness with full recall of all that he had seen and heard. In a conversation that we had a few days afterward to gain his approval for using his case, he said that he was extremely happy with the information that he had received. ♥
