Helping people find purpose, letting go of their past baggage, achieve their goals, overcome long-standing issues and improve their quality of life is her calling and passion.
Yasmin grew up in Bombay, India, where at a young age she began exploring her passion for philosophy, spirituality, and metaphysics through the study of yoga, meditation, Reiki and many other modalities. From Savarna–
I first met Yasmin in 2014 as she was one of our LBL students at a training in California. I sensed her deep sincerity, compassionate heart and inner quiet. I am happy to see her continuing in this work in such a beautiful way.

Savarna: What prompted you to begin offering LBL and what in your background prepared you to do this work?

Yasmin: Since the first time I read Journey of Souls, it resonated very deeply within me. It was as if I already knew this information, but here was someone validating what I always believed. I think for most people born and raised in India, as I was, a belief in re-incarnation and the afterlife is a given. I was already a hypnotherapist with a practice in past life regression, and when I read this book, I absolutely knew that this would be a part of what I would do, some day. My own LBL experience only deepened this knowing. In 2014, I attended the training at San Damiano and completed my accreditation right after.

Everything in my background seems to have led me to this point. Since I was in my teens, I was always fascinated with understanding more about the soul, consciousness, metaphysics, the afterlife and reincarnation. To this end I read avidly, studied yoga and philosophy, became a practitioner of the Paramahansa Yogananda school of Kriya Yoga, learned Reiki and Pranic healing, Access Bars and other modalities. In my own journey I experienced first-hand the role synchronicity and guidance plays in our lives. When I look back, it’s been an amazing unfolding of events that brought me to this point. I never planned to become a hypnotherapist; one thing just led to another, one step to the next… and here I am.

When did you have your first LBL? What was it like for you?

I think my own first LBL in 2012, was very typical as we used to see in those days. The most profound experience was the feeling of what it felt like to be without a physical body. Experiencing this in deep hypnosis is so liberating. It gave me a bird’s eye view of my life, the bigger picture and so many of the small things, or the fluff, just fell away. So, it gave me perspective, connected me to my soul self, and I also experienced the feeling of love in a very non-physical way… both the love from my soul group and from the animal world.

Can you share more about what you experience regarding the animal world?

Yes. In my session I was taken to a “detour”, and I was amazed to find myself in a massive open indoor-outdoor space, filled with hundreds of dogs. As a dog lover this made me smile, and to my incredulous surprise, I had a happy and tearful reunion with my precious dog Tequila who had passed away several years ago.

That is lovely! Many times, people who have enjoyed a close relationship with a pet/ animal wonder if they will reconnect in some way.
Anything else?

Yes, my second LBL was very different; it seemed to just speak of a single theme and message and reinforce for me that I was here to “unravel the mysteries of the universe”. I was told to go all out and not to hold myself back. Deep inside I already knew this, as I had always been a seeker in some way or form. After this LBL, I found it easier to let go of any hesitancy and really surrendered to this work.

How do you help a person prepare for an LBL session?

Well, aside from the usual preparation of the client’s questions and intake about the important people in their life, in some instances there may be some additional work required. If they are struggling with current life issues I may suggest some inner child work, or I may use the Simpson Protocol method of hypnosis to address any blocks that prevent them from having a successful session. I also recommend they try to let go of all perceptions and assumptions of what will happen in their session, so that they can be completely open to their own unique experience.

In LBL, we can learn so much about such things as our soul nature, the activities of the spirit world, our personal lessons and contracts with others, as well as a wider perspective about humanities evolution etc. In working with clients, what teachings have come through that have been especially impactful?

There seems to be a slight shift in my client sessions, especially these days. I do not see clients visiting their entire soul group very often, or the library, etc; rather I do find they connect with guides or wisdom very early on in the session to get answers to their specific questions. I do not guide them from stop to stop, but we follow their own inner guidance or higher guidance as the session unfolds. A common theme or learning in the LBLs I have facilitated, seems to be love in some way or form – perhaps learning self-love, or unconditional love – also the learning that “we are all one”, which is so relevant for our times. So much of the turmoil we are facing in the world is due to this belief that we are separate beings, or the “I” factor. Whereas we still experience the spirit world in duality, I see “oneness” coming through as a message more often.

Clients are also experiencing very distinct out of body feelings post the death scene, and I like to deepen that experience for them, so they are able to re-connect with that feeling when out of hypnosis as well.

Why do you feel it is important to deepen this out of body experience for people?

We may read as much as we want and have all the knowledge, but it is the experience that our clients come to us for. It’s validation for them and for us too.

I can tell that you enjoy this work. What is most impactful or fulfilling for you in facilitating LBL journeys?

Well, I am really fascinated by each client’s experience. As LBL facilitators, we are so uniquely privileged to be witness to these amazing sessions. We learn so much and grow with each session we do.

Every client’s learning resonates with me too. I love hearing from them after the session, and it never ceases to amaze me, how great an impact the sessions have on their lives. Signs, synchronicities, and messages from their sessions are often validated in their physical life. Sometimes the guidance is so unbelievably explicit. I had a client who received a message from his guide during the session, that he needed to visit a particular holy place in order to complete a karmic cycle (in physical life he had no affinity to this holy place, nor the religion it served). He emerged from the session. and in our de-brief we discussed this message, and he had no idea what it was all about. He left my office and two minutes later called me on my cell phone, to tell me that during our session together, he had received 6 missed calls. They were from an event manager, inviting him to perform at the very same venue he had been asked to visit in his session. Now what are the statistical chances of this happening?!

What great evidence that we truly are in connection.
You have lived in both India and Canada. Do you find cultural differences impact a person’s experience of LBL?

That is a very interesting question. There is no difference in terms of how people experience leaving the death scene, their out of body awareness, the answers they receive, the common messages of love, of learning, etc. I will say that many Indians have very deep roots and connections perhaps from the time they have been raised, or due to cultural practices, to ascended masters or spiritual teachers and this shows up more in their sessions.

Although many clients have already read the books, if they have not, I do recommend they wait to read them until after the session. This allows them to be more open to any experience and reduces conscious interference from expectations.

This issue of SOTA is focused on pain and suffering and by extension healing. In what ways do you think hypnotherapy and LBL address suffering?

These days, most clients who contact me for an LBL are seeking answers to their life purpose, wanting validation that they are on track, and want to deepen their connection to spirit. The last two to three years during the pandemic has been a wake up call for many. Hypnotherapy, past life regression and LBL regression are unique in their ability to neutralize negative impressions and imprints from the past and get answers to the questions we seek, about situations that are affecting us in the present. In an LBL, clients get an understanding of the “whys” in their life. Why they are experiencing a certain difficult relationship, why they had to undergo something traumatic, why they lost someone they loved and so on. When they truly experience that this is all a divine plan they chose, and everything has a reason or purpose, they are able to let go of the pain and suffering. The perspective changes, they feel lighter, happier, and liberated.

I too have found that when someone has a “why” about a situation, a way of understanding the deeper purpose of a challenge, the situation can turn from a hinderance to an opportunity.
Some of my clients have shared how they feel that their energetic body is unburdened from old patterns or ‘upgraded’ to a new template as well. Do you find that in addition to the information and understanding a person may receive that there are energetic kinds of learnings or healings?

Yes, clients will report different energetic experiences during the LBL: perhaps vibrations, light, or pulses running through their body, almost electrical in nature. Frequently they report that there is a release or shedding of trauma / heaviness (if any) from the life they just left. I have also had clients tell me that as souls in the spirit world, they are able to effortlessly download information in different ways.

I notice that your website is called Purple Flame Hypnotherapy. What is the meaning of that for you?

The name represents the violet flame, a very high frequency spiritual light energy which has the power to transmute all negative into positive. I was introduced to this powerful energy many years ago, and I use the energy of the flame frequently to help my clients heal and release.

That is lovely Yasmin. It seems you have been guided all along in offering this beautiful and sincere service to humanity. I am glad you received the guidance to go “all out”!
