Connection with Loved Ones in Other Dimensions

When someone you love passes onto the other side, your connection with them is not lost. It may seem so, for in the western world, dominated by rational analytical thinking, we think that only that which we can see is real. And because we cannot see our loved ones anymore, because they’ve left their body behind, it seems that they are not here. However, nothing could be further from truth. Leaving the body does not mean end of the story but rather that the ‘story’ continues in other worlds, dimensions and realms. Our souls are immortal and perhaps to them the whole life lived on earth from their perspective seems link a blink of an eye and they are back ‘home’. Nevertheless, can we maintain and keep a relationship with our loved ones, once they have departed from the earthly realm?
From many years of my own work, research and very intimate personal experiences, I can say with definite confidence, that yes, we can stay connected with our loved ones regardless of their residence…meaning that even when they move on, we can still communicate and feel their loving presence in our lives. Moreover, I have experienced firsthand that once souls cross into the loving realm of home, they can support us in our projects, assist in the healing of old family constellations, karmic bonds, and ties, and help open our ability to understand and communicate with the other world.
Sometimes I am asked, ‘but don’t we hold back the departed soul if we wish to maintain relationship with them?’ Once the soul moves into the light and loving embrace of their home, their abilities become ‘much more’ than that of their life on earth. It depends on the soul, but most of souls can easily stay in the realm of light and at the same time (I’ve to understand it, that just like in the quantum field of oneness everything is connected), the soul just focus its attention on us, and we feel the flow of its communication, love and their presence. I have seen so many times that loved ones actually want to establish communication with those who have stayed behind. The more ‘open’ and ‘receptive’ we are, the easier it is for them to ‘talk’ to us. When our mind is ‘not yet ready’ for many reasons, due to lack of belief, or pain and suffering because of the loss, the loved departed souls maintain connection to our souls, by sending us their love and support at times even beyond our conscious perception-in dreams for example. Alternatively, they communicate with us through signs, such as feathers, songs and even very particular ways such as books, articles and numerous other means. When their message reaches us, we simply know it is our loved one. Usually that contact comes with a feeling, so strong that cannot be denied as our heart opens and perceives truth that goes beyond and above the analytical mind.
My first encounter, very strong and very vivid was at a time, when in my twenties I lived literally on the other side pf the world, in New Zealand. At the time a dear person, who had been very close to me and was a family relative passed away. She had been sick for a long time, and I was in Europe on vacation just packing my bags to travel back to New Zealand. We spoke on the phone, both aware that probably she was leaving this plane soon. ‘Please don’t leave without coming to see me’, I blurted out, but with an inner sense of peace as if something inside of me knew, what I was saying. ‘I will not, I promise to come and see you’, she said, and we both sat for a moment in complete silence. A promise from a heart to heart had been made. I hung up, to which my mother said, ‘How can you ask of a sick woman to come and see you on the other side of the world?’ But I knew better. ‘She will come’, I said and we left it at that.
A few months later I woke one night at 3am and sat up straight in my bed startled. The balcony door, old wooden doors, with a turn around key, heavy lock and all had been knocked open. My beloved family relative stood by my bed. ‘Come show me your life, show me everything’ she said, and I flew (seemed very normal at the time) with her. We visited my office in CBD, the sailing boat, my favorite island Ringitoto, and all my beloved beaches. She then looked at me: ‘You’ve shown me your world, come with me let me show you mine, where I am going’, she said. I hesitated as in my family tradition we were thought to never (especially in dreams) follow a relative into the afterlife, for you were bound to stay there. She read my mind and laughed. ‘This is superstition’ she said, ‘come with me, see for yourself, and know there are so many superstitions about the deceased and the afterlife on earth’. I followed her to a sacred site for the Maori, Cape Reinga. There we took off and flew into to the sky, higher and higher until we reached the ‘gates of heaven’. She took me to ‘her world’, a beautiful heavenly realm. We met with loved ancestors and family relatives who had passed before her, and they we all so happy to see me. It was like coming home after a long trip on earth. I knew instantly that this world here was real and the earth only a short visitation. However, they told me I needed to go back. You have much work to do, and much more of life to live’ they told me.
And before departing she looked at me: Remember, we who leave earth are happy to be back home, remembering that we are at home in this world, but on earth people cry because they forgot where we go…if they knew they would rejoice for us!’’.
I flew back and slipped into my body. Upon which I opened my eyes. It was still 3am. Not a minute had passed. I got out of bed and walked to the balcony door. It was wide open. Shivers went through my body. I knew it all was true, not just a dream. The next day I got a phone call. My loved relative had passed away. The hour matched (I did the math on time difference) with the time of her arrival. That experience changed me forever. For once, you see, there is no way to un-see the seen. ♥
