Neil arrived with the quiet composure of a man who had learned how to hold himself together.
At first glance he appeared calm. Thoughtful, articulate, measured in the way he spoke. Yet beneath that steady exterior something else moved just below the surface. A rawness that had not yet settled.
Over the past year the structure of his life had unraveled.
His marriage had ended suddenly. The business he and his wife had built together dissolved alongside it. Personal trust and professional trust had been so intertwined that when one fractured, the other collapsed with it.
Divorce. Financial instability. The dismantling of a shared future. Yet what troubled Neil most was not the loss itself.
It was the haunting familiarity of it.
Betrayal had appeared in his life before, in different forms and at different ages, yet always carrying the same emotional signature. A breaking of trust. A loss of belonging. An unexpected abandonment.
By the time he arrived for the Life Between Lives session, one question overshadowed the rest. Why does betrayal seem to follow me?
What Neil encountered instead would become one of the most unusual LBL sessions I had ever witnessed.
During the two preparation sessions leading up to the regression, several themes emerged clearly. Neil was not simply curious about past lives. He was searching for answers to questions that had quietly shaped his emotional landscape for decades.
Why do I struggle to feel safe in relationships?
Why does belonging sometimes feel just out of reach? Why does trust feel fragile even when love is present?
And perhaps most importantly, what is the deeper purpose behind these repeating experiences? Four themes surfaced repeatedly during preparation: Belonging, Safety, Trust, Purpose.
During the second preparatory regression, Neil entered a powerful past life experience.
He perceived himself as a young woman living in early colonial America. Her childhood had been disrupted by violent conflict between settlers and a nearby Indigenous First Nations tribe. Somehow, she had become separated from her family.
Instead of being harmed, she was taken in by members of the tribe.
Within that community she grew up alongside a boy her age. They learned the rhythms of the land together, gathering berries, exploring the forests, growing into adulthood side by side.
Over time their friendship deepened naturally into love.
But the world around them would not allow that love to exist.
Cultural tensions and tribal expectations made the relationship impossible. Still, their bond remained quietly rooted until the day everything changed.
While gathering alone in the forest, she was spotted by settlers traveling through the region. They believed they were rescuing her.
Despite her attempts to explain that she belonged with the tribe, they took her away. She was transported far enough that she could never find her way back.
Separated from the land that had become her home. Separated from the man she loved.
Unable to fully reintegrate into colonial society again.
She lived the remainder of her life with a quiet sadness that never lifted. A sense of displacement shaped every remaining year.
When that life finally came to an end decades later, the emotional imprint remained. Love interrupted. Belonging denied. Trust fractured by forces beyond her control.
A few days later Neil returned for the Life Between Lives session. We began by revisiting the final moments of that lifetime.
His breathing slowed as he entered the scene.
The aging woman lay quietly in a small wooden room. Years of sorrow had softened both her body and her spirit.
“Allow yourself to move to the moment of passing,” I said gently. “She is letting go,” Neil whispered after a pause.
Another breath.
“She still misses him.”
Then the room faded. The body relaxed. Her awareness lifted gently beyond the physical form. What happened next surprised him.
Many clients entering the Life Between Lives space encounter spiritual guides who appear in recognizable human forms.
Neil did not.
At first he saw only shifting patterns of light. Faint shapes formed and dissolved. Gray silhouettes that resembled faces or figures appeared briefly before disappearing again.
“They are trying to take shape,” he said quietly. “But they will not stay.”
Gradually the forms reorganized themselves into something entirely different.
Clusters of luminous spheres appeared, drifting through the space like bubbles of light. Threads of color connected them, forming intricate patterns that expanded, dissolved, and reassembled continuously.
At first the formations were difficult for Neil to describe.
But as he watched them move, something deeper became clear.
What he had initially perceived as abstract energy was not random at all. They were beings.
Elementals.
Energy life forms woven into the very fabric of reality itself.
Their presence carried the unmistakable sense that they were not separate from creation but expressions of it. Subtle intelligences present within every layer of existence.
Within the cellular structures of living bodies. Within the hidden processes of plants and animals. Within the molecular dance of air and water.
They felt present in the movement of wind across the ocean, in the shifting of tectonic plates deep beneath the Earth’s surface, and in the luminous energies extending far beyond our planet toward distant stars.
The elementals seemed woven throughout existence itself. Neil watched them with quiet amazement.
“They are not people,” he said slowly.
“But they are alive, and they know I am here.”
As the interaction continued, the environment began to transform. A landscape emerged.
At first Neil thought he was seeing vegetation stretching across an immense plain. But as his perception sharpened, the structures revealed themselves.
They were crystals.
Countless crystalline towers rising from the ground in vast symmetrical rows.
From a distance the field looked almost agricultural. “It looks like rows of corn,” he said softly.
But each stalk was a luminous crystal filled with subtle currents of light moving through its interior.
The elementals drifted through the field like wind moving through tall grass.
Soft pulses of color rippled from crystal to crystal. The entire landscape hummed with quiet intelligence.
Then the formations gathered around one particular crystal. And Neil felt something shift.
“They are drawing me toward it,” he said. “Like gravity.”
The crystal towered before him, its interior glowing with intricate pathways of light. Then something extraordinary happened.
Instead of observing the crystal, he entered it.
The moment his awareness merged with the crystalline structure, his body reacted instantly. His breath caught sharply.
Then a sudden cry burst from him. A loud, startled scream that seemed to rise from somewhere far deeper than his conscious mind.
For a moment the room held the echo of that sound. Then the intensity softened.
The scream collapsed into a deep sob.
His shoulders trembled as the emotion moved through him in waves. This was not ordinary crying.
It felt more like the body releasing something it had carried for a very long time. Minutes passed before the words came.
“I know this place,” he whispered.
“What are you becoming aware of?” I asked. His voice dropped even lower.
“I betrayed them.”
Within the crystal another world began to unfold. It was not Earth.
The civilization revealed there seemed both ancient and advanced. Not technological in the mechanical sense, but highly evolved in its understanding of energy and consciousness.
The beings there did not experience themselves as sharply separate individuals the way humans do.
Instead, they existed within a shared field of awareness.
Each presence was distinct, yet simultaneously part of a greater unified intelligence. Neil searched for language.
“It is like I am a node in a network,” he said slowly. Then he paused.
“No. It is closer than that.” Another moment passed.
“It feels like I am a single cell within a living body. I am clearly myself, but I can feel the whole body at the same time. We are all individuals, and yet one being.”
Within this collective system, trust formed the organizing principle. Each being held responsibility for maintaining balance within the whole.
In that lifetime Neil had been entrusted with knowledge affecting the stability of the entire collective.
Then the memory sharpened. A moment of choice.
Information meant to remain protected had been revealed for personal advantage. The effect rippled instantly through the network.
Trust fractured.
Harmony destabilized.
Inside the crystal he felt the impact of that action not from one perspective, but from every perspective within the collective simultaneously.
Not punishment. … Understanding.
As the emotional waves settled, the elements surrounded the crystal in the quiet moment. Their movement slowed into gentle pulses of light.
From that point forward the formations appeared more clearly as elementals. Living geometries of energy flowing in delicate patterns around him.
The message came not through words but through direct knowing. This lifetime had not been punishment.
It was education.
Across lifetimes the soul had experienced trust from every direction.
The one who lost love, the one who broke trust, and the one who now understood both. Weeks later Neil returned for a follow up session.
Something about him had changed.
The guarded tension he carried during our first meeting had softened.
We revisited the insights from the regression, and one realization had continued unfolding for him.
For the first time in his life, the betrayals he had experienced no longer felt random. They formed a pattern.
A mirror.
In the Indigenous lifetime he had known the pain of love interrupted and belonging denied.
In the off planet existence he had once been the one whose action fractured trust within a collective system.
And in this life he had experienced betrayal deeply enough to understand its emotional impact from the receiving side.
Seen together, the three lifetimes formed a mirror of experience. The soul learning trust from every direction.
This realization allowed Neil to take something he had never considered before. Emotional responsibility for the soul’s larger journey.
Not responsibility for the actions of others.
But responsibility for how he chose to meet the experience. From that place, forgiveness began to emerge.
Forgiveness for the ancient action revealed within the crystal. Forgiveness for the betrayals he had experienced in this life. And perhaps most importantly, forgiveness toward himself.
The anger he had carried toward his former wife softened. The sharp edges of the divorce no longer defined his story. What remained was something quieter … Peace.
During that follow up session we also began exploring the next stage of his journey. Mapping how the insights from the regression might guide the next chapter of his life.
Rather than focusing on what had been lost, the work turned toward what could now be created.
The process was what I often refer to as Soulscape mapping. Exploring how the soul’s deeper intentions can shape the future direction of a life once an old pattern has been understood.
For Neil, the revelation within the crystal field had not simply explained the past. It had opened a doorway into the future.
Sometimes spiritual teachers appear as wise guides or familiar ancestors.
And sometimes they appear as shifting geometries of light drifting through a vast crystalline landscape.
Yet the form of the teacher is never the most important part of the experience. What matters is the understanding they bring.
For Neil, what once appeared to be a life defined by betrayal revealed itself instead as a carefully arranged journey of learning.
A mirror through which the soul could see both sides of trust.
And in that recognition, something extraordinary became possible. Not just insight … But healing. ♥
